Kouturekiss - The Perfect Nude Lip With Concealer and A Color

The perfect nude lipgloss or lipstick… It takes a while before you find one, IF you find one! If you’re one of those girls who just can’t seem to find the right nude lip colour that matches her skin tone, here are three tips to create your own! The best part of this tutorial: it’s one for every skin tone! All you need is a concealer and a lip product! Which lip product? Keep on reading to see which one matches your preference!

One
For these nude lips you need a concealer that matches your skin tone and a clear lipgloss. These nude lips are for girls that like very nude and glossy lips.
What to do? Apply your clear lipgloss. Dot some concealer over it. And that’s it! That’s how you create your nude glossy lips that also match your skin tone!

Two
If very nude lips are a little too nude for you, but you still like your lips to be glossy, this is the way to go for you. Apply a sheer pink lipgloss. Dot concealer over your glossy lips and you’re done! By using a pink lipgloss, you give your nude lips a pink undertone. You can also use a peach lipgloss or any other colour you prefer.

Three
Not a big fan of glossy lips? Me neither. This is my favourite way to create nude lips! Apply a pink lipstick. I used a matte pink with blue undertones. If you have a skin with warm undertones, use a lipstick with warm undertones. Apply some concealer over the pink lipstick, rub your lips together et voilà! For this method you can also use a peach lipstick, if you prefer nude lips with peach undertones.
See how simple it is to create perfect nude lips that will definitely match your skin tone? And because you’re using either a lipgloss or a lipstick, you don’t get the frightening foundation face! These are just a few tips, but of course you can variate much: lip products in other colours or lip products with other finish (glossy, sheer, shimmer, matte). Just play with it and pout away!

Christmas is coming and with Christmas comes joy and happy manicures! Be honest, even though it’s November; you can already hear the Jingly bells ringing! You should totally treat yourself on yummy candy cane nails!

  1. Apply a coat of red nail polish. Let it dry well. If necessary apply another coat and let this try well too.
  2. Paint white, diagonal stripes on top of the red. Use a nail polish with a striper brush. This makes it easy to draw the stripes! Some nail polishes are sold with a striper brush, instead of a normal brush, but you can also buy an individual striper brush. They’re not that expensive and really useful with nail art! If you want them to be perfect, you can use tape. But it’s okay if it’s not perfect! To keep it fun, skip the thumb and the ring finger.
  3. Usually a mani has one accent nail, but today we’re doing two! Start with the thumb: paint a normal diagonal strip and right next to it a thin one. On my nails I have three (thin and thick) stripes.
  4. Then it’s time for your ring finger. With a striper brush (you can use the one you used before if you clean it with nail polish remover) you draw diagonal stripes with a silver nail polish. Just as thick as the stripes you drew on the other nails.
  5. With the striper brush draw a thin white line on one side of the silver line on your ring finger. You’ll get this funny, almost 3D effect! Seal your pretty mani with a top coat and you’re done! To make it more Christmas-y, you can apply a top coat with fine glitters.

Tip: if you made a booboo, clean your striper brush, dip it in the red nail polish and go over the mistake you made. Andddd, it’s gone!

Perfect and neat brows: sometimes it seems like mission impossible! With a few tricks under her sleeve, a woman can achieve more than she knows. Here are some tips and tricks for those perfect brows!

A big tip before we actually start: when you’re doing your eyebrows, do them both at the same time! By doing them both at the same time, you’ll prevent the disappointment of one eyebrow being perfect and the other one not. Also, the chance that they’re similar is bigger.

  1. Let your eyebrows grow until they’re thick enough to work with. Make sure your face is clean. Did you know plucking eyebrows hurts less right after you showered? Find a place with good lightning, preferably daylight, and comb them before you start.
  2. It’s important to know where to start and end your eyebrows! A little guideline is easy to find. Put a brush or pencil against the beginning of your nostril and the inner corner of your eye. Make sure you make a straight line between them. There you go! You just found the beginning of your eyebrow. Mark this with a white eye pencil.
  3. To find the end of your eyebrow, get that same tool you use to find the beginning. Put it against the end of your nostril and the outer corner of your eye. Mark that with a white pencil too. It’s possible that your eyebrow may be a bit short. Then you can use this guideline to know up till where you have to draw your eyebrow.
  4. This step is one that gets forgotten very often! To know where your arch starts, you look at where your iris stops. That should be the highest point in your eyebrow. This too should be marked.
  5. Now you have marked the three most important points of your eyebrow. Using a white eye pencil makes it really easy to do your brows! It’s noticeable on the skin and easy to remove when you don’t need the guidelines anymore.
  6. Connect the guidelines with the pass you have and draw a line with the white pencil. You’ll get two lines. This creates a new guideline. Everything that is marked white is going to be removed! Do the same thing with the bottom of the eyebrows. The lines you draw there have to be parallel to the lines you drew at the upper side of the eyebrows.
  7. It should look something like this! With the white pencil you can decide if you want to make your brows thinner. Tip: stay as close to your natural shape as possible! It will look more natural and it will suit your face more. The white lines will guide you while plucking. When you’re in doubt whether to remove a hair or not, don’t do it. It’s better to leave an extra hair than over pluck! Well, what are you waiting for? Start plucking!
  8. Remove the white lines with a cleansing wipe. Hello, new eyebrow! After removing the white liner the shape of the brow is more visible. If you don’t like the result yet, you can pluck a little more. Go stand in front of a big mirror and look carefully. Are your eyebrows similar? They don’t have to be exactly the same. After all, eyebrows are like sisters. They’re not twins!
  9. If you’re happy with the result, comb the hairs up and trim them with little scissors. This will make your eyebrows a bit neater. Comb them back and smile, because you’ve successfully accomplished this eyebrow tutorial! See how neat it looks? Especially because you also plucked the upper side and because you trimmed your eyebrows a little.
  10. Optional: To create that ultimate neat brow, you can fill them in a little.

If you’re one of those girls with a blue undertone, consider yourself lucky when you have to pick a red lipstick! You have to search for a lipstick with a cool (blue) undertone and it’s well-known that those lippies make your teeth extra white. It’s a journey to find the right one, but it’s worth the journey!

Lipsticks I’m wearing:

  1. Shiseido Perfect Rouge – RD 415
  2. Catrice Stay On! – 090 Lasting Burgundy
  3. Catrice Rouge Satin – 060 Spanish Red
  4. Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick – Courtisane 02
  5. Maybelline Superstay – 550 Radiant Ruby

Here are a few types of lipsticks a beauty with blue undertones can wear!

  1. A bright lipstick with an obvious blue undertone. This is also the best lipstick to make your teeth look whiter! This color looks beautifully on every skin colour, from pale to dark skinned!
  2. A red with a brownish touch, but still with a blue undertone. If you have an olive skin, this color will suit you perfectly! If not, a little bronzer goes a long way, especially with this color! How do you recognize this blue undertone? Sometimes it easy, like with a bright lipstick. If it’s a lipstick that tends to brown, look closely if it’s an orange-brown or a purple-brown. The second one is the one you need, when you have blue undertones!
  3. A bright red lipstick is certainly a must have. You don’t always have to pick an obvious cool toned lipstick; you can also go for a bright lipstick with a pink undertone. Perfect for the fair skinned girl!
  4. Not only a autumn trend, also a beautiful color for every skin tone! A beautiful, almost dramatic dark red. The color on the picture has an obvious cool purple undertone. Be careful with small lips; dark colors tend to make them smaller.
  5. Last but not least, a ruby red lipstick with a purple undertone. This will look amazing with a soft smokey eye!

When you’re going shopping for a red lipstick, it’s important to know if you need a cool-based or a warm-based red. These tips are for cool-based skins. The most important tip I can give is: avoid anything warm-toned! Orange-toned: avoid! Yellow-toned: avoid! Go for blue and purple-tones and you’ll rock that red lipstick!
