Line your lips with any red or nude shade – there is no need to find a liner that matches perfectly. If you don’t have a lip liner, use your lipstick with a lip brush to trace the outline of your lips.
Because reds can be tricky to apply directly from the tube, I suggest you apply them with a lip liner brush. Take your brush and lightly sweep it on the lipstick to pick up some color and fill in your lips completely based on your outline. Don’t forget the corners of your mouth!
Clean up the edges with a Q-tip. It may be necessary to apply a little bit of makeup remover on the end of the Q-tip if the color smears on your skin.
You may choose to conceal around your lips to perfect the look even more. Taking any concealer brush, correct the edges of your lip and perfect the surrounding skin to make the color truly pop.
Apply a gloss overtop to finish up the look! Typically a red gloss will intensify your look while a nude gloss will tone down the red. Play around with it until you’re happy!
