Heavy Silver Glitter Fade Smokey Eye

October 6, 2012

I love this dramatic silver look – especially for a night out. It is super simple to achieve and it is an easy way to experiment with the ombre trend, except this time, on your eyes! When your eye is shut, you can see the silver gradient as the colors blend and mesh into one another. It can be mastered in a few simple steps and little time.

  1. Start off with 3 base shades – a black, a white and a silver. These can be anything form eyeliner pencils, to creme shadows to eyeshadow sticks. Spicing up the Everyday Pony

August 10, 2012

I don’t know about the rest of you girls, but I tend to throw my hair back in a ponytail every morning for class. It’s simple, chic, and best of all, it doesn’t get in your face all day. However, it’s fun to spice up the everyday ponytail and give it a fun and feminine twist, a la a braid. It only requires an extra minute in comparison to your traditional pony and makes a noticeable difference. Here’s how to achieve the effortless, casual look.

  1. Start by sectioning off two sections of hair. On one side of your head, take a one inch section from your hair’s normal downward flow and pull it to the front. On the other side, use two fingers, starting at your hairline, and draw them back, almost making a box shape, until they meet. (more…)
