Whether you’re totally dreading it or itching to get back to your classes, the back to school season is back in full swing! It’s easy to feel overwhelmed getting back into your school schedule, but that is no reason to let your hair routine suffer! Below are four foolproof styles that will not only fit in to your tight school schedule, but they will have you on the fast track to being one of the most stylish students this semester!
#1. The Top Knot – Okay, we know you’ll promise to get to each class on time this semester, but waking up late is bound to happen at least once! But don’t stress! The Top Knot is the perfect style to keep you looking neat and glam without making you late to school! Just gather hair tightly on the top of your head and secure with an elastic. Tease your ponytail and then wrap it around into a bun and secure with bobby pins. Ta-da, instant glam!
#2. The Fishtail Braid – This look has become super popular. It’s trendy, pretty and the perfect way to dress up a casual hairstyle. Just divide hair into two sections, and take a strand from one side and gather it to the other side. Keep repeating this step on each side and secure with an elastic on the end. Let a few strands hang out to frame your face and you’ll have an effortlessly trendy finished product! Perfect for class!

Want a dramatic eye, but don’t want to bother with eyeshadow? Try doing a winged liner look, but take it a little further….
I used Inglot gel liner in #77, and angled MAC brush #263. I love this liner because it’s the blackest I’ve ever used and waterproof. This is my favorite brush because it’s very precise, and the synthetic hairs give a smooth and thin application.
Step 1. Starting with a matte eye, use your synthetic angle brush with the tip pointing away from the eye, to lay down your first line.
Step 2. Go back to the line, and drag the liner across the entire lid to the inside of the eye. The bigger the better, dont be scared! It’ll feel weird but it’ll look beautiful! Connect with the front of the eye. (more…)

In order to “master” something, you need to take a little time to perfect what you’re going for. Quick makeups are great, but like anything, perfection takes time!

With contouring, you can sculpt your face into whatever shape you like. To add shadows or depth, we’re going to use darker powders or creams. Usually, the key places to contour are the hollows of the cheeks (You can find these by sucking your cheeks in like a fishy face), the temples, and the jawline. However, you can pretty much contour wherever you’d like! (Even your nose or eyes – it will help add dimension to your face if it’s looking a bit flat.) When contouring it’s best to use matte products (without shimmer), because this will be more natural looking. (more…)
