Between contouring, highlighting, and other beauty buzzwords right now it can seem a bit confusing when it comes to cheeks! Pulling out all the stops is fun for special occasions but on a daily basis it’s nice to simplify. Here are 3 products to add to your routine to get that perfectly sculpted cheek everyday!
- To start, you’ll need a matte bronzer, a shimmery highlighting powder, a blush, and an angled brush and a blush brush.
- Start with your angled brush, swirl it into your matte bronzer and apply in a line to the hollows of your cheeks. Sweep it back and forth so it’s blended.
- Dust off your same brush and sweep your highlighting powder on the tops of your cheekbones.
- Take your blush brush and apply your colour starting on the high point of the “apple” of your cheek. Don’t know where the apple of your cheeks are? Just smile! That round higher “cheeky” part that goes up when you smile? That’s the apple! The majority of your blush goes here.
- Now blend your blush back towards your temples. Don’t reload your brush, just use the remainder for this. This will blend everything together!
- Voilá! The perfectly sculpted cheek!

Autumn outfits, Autumn manicures, Autumn makeup. Autumn is everywhere! Unfortunately I’m not here to break the cliché, but to confirm the season. Here’s an Autumn smokey eye for every day!
- Start off with priming your face, fill in your eyebrows and apply an eye shadow base on your whole lid, up to your eyebrow. (more…)

There are many colors that compliment brown eyes, like purple. Master this light fall-ready eye in less than 5 steps!
- Start off with a clean and primed eye. After you prime, fill in your eyebrows.
- Next, apply a shimmer light gold eye shadow to your lids. Be sure not to pass the brow bone. This will be your base, and it will brighten your eyes and appear softer then a matte color because of the shimmer texture. (more…)

A key way to make your eyes stand out is by mastering the smokey eye. Another key way is to find out what colors really make your eyes pop. As a fellow member of the brown eyed community, taupes and greens are top tier to making those babies look their best. In this tutorial, I chose a deep taupe and as an accent a wonderful ligher taupe to add some dimension.
- Firstly, apply the deeper taupe all over your lid focusing on the crease and outer corner. This all depends on your eye shape and, if it helps, instead of closing your eye, apply the colors with you looking straight ahead to ensure that every aspect of the smokey eye is visible. This is a great tip, especially if you have hooded eyes.
- Next, concentrate that lighter taupe into the first half of your eye and the inner corner. Since the color is lighter than the deep taupe, it will open up your eye making you look more awake.
- Be sure to blend in all the colors! Now, with a color closest to your skin tone with a bit of shimmer (I’m using a champagne color) add that as a highlight to your brow bone. With such a smokey look, you want to bring in light to your eye area.
- Add multiple coats of mascara and you are ready to go!
