It is officially winter, and the holiday season is a great time to experiment with fun new colors in blushes to bring more life to your pretty face. Personally, I prefer powder blushes for the fall and winter and go for a more dewy finish with cream blushes towards summer. I think every oily skinned girl can relate: we can literally feel our skin getting oily, which means our face makeup is about to go everywhere but our face. Its extremely difficult to find foundations and powders that not only stay on our face but also keep us matte for as long as possible. It all depends on the products you use, of course. There is no better time than the summer to work that all-American girl style. This look takes “less is more” to heart and simply adds some glow to your look. Just like Lauren Bush, we’re going to give you a run down of this gorgeous and minimal makeup and hair routine.
Step 1: Face – After washing, use a tinted moisturizer for a subtle glow. Skip the foundation and only apply concealer to problem areas. For example, dark circles, around your nose, and any blemishes. Then sweep a soft pink blush from cheekbones to temples. Lauren has a natural glow without layers of makeup, so to achieve this look, minimal makeup is necessary.
Step 2: Brows – Lauren has amazing, full eyebrows that really stand out. You can get them by using a brow pencil or kit to fill them in. Next to keep them in place, take either brow gel or clear mascara and brush your brows up and then out. Believe it or not this is a crucial step as brushing them clearly defines your brow. (more…)
