There is no better time than the summer to work that all-American girl style. This look takes “less is more” to heart and simply adds some glow to your look. Just like Lauren Bush, we’re going to give you a run down of this gorgeous and minimal makeup and hair routine.

Step 1: Face – After washing, use a tinted moisturizer for a subtle glow. Skip the foundation and only apply concealer to problem areas. For example, dark circles, around your nose, and any blemishes. Then sweep a soft pink blush from cheekbones to temples. Lauren has a natural glow without layers of makeup, so to achieve this look, minimal makeup is necessary.

Step 2: Brows – Lauren has amazing, full eyebrows that really stand out. You can get them by using a brow pencil or kit to fill them in. Next to keep them in place, take either brow gel or clear mascara and brush your brows up and then out. Believe it or not this is a crucial step as brushing them clearly defines your brow.

Step 3: Eyes - Using a shimmery light brown eye shadow, add a tiny bit of sparkle to your eyes. Notice how Lauren’s shadow doesn’t overpower her eye? Stray away from the technique you would use on the popular smoky and just apply color to the lid and the crease as pictured. Next, rim the inner corners of your eyes with a shimmery ivory tone. Now, with a brown eyeliner trace the outer corners of your upper and lower lash lines. This will add slight dimension which will be topped off by curling your lashes and applying one thick coat of mascara.

Step 4: Lips - Lauren’s look is complete with a swipe of pink gloss. Opt for a gloss with just a tint of deep pink so your natural color still comes through.

Step 5: Hair - Last but not least, blow dry your hair straight. Straighten the top half of your head and then use a 1.5”-2” curling iron on the last few inches of your strands so the ends have a loose curl. To shape your face, curl the front section on either side of your face an inch or two higher than the rest. Apply hairspray to the ends and to your roots to prevent frizz.
