We all know from time to time every girl needs a little rescuing-beauty style. If you don’t have the time, or the cash, to trawl around expensive retailers, the drugstore becomes your best friend. A treasure trove of gems, it houses those necessary items we often forget are our everyday lifesavers. It really is a quick-fix haven!
But what are those items we so often overlook? When we’re running around because we’re late to an interview, a social occasion, or a dinner date it’s easy to forget how integral these fix-it bits and pieces are. Don’t worry girls, CocoKouture is here to highlight those lifesaving products!

Winter is upon us, we are all feeling the cold which tells us it is time to bring out our warm coats and ear muffs! This kind of weather brings changes in our wardrobe but also in our beauty regimes. This season in particular makes us more susceptible to hair damage due to the harsh winds, cold temperatures and the fact that we tend to style our hair a lot more!
In the summer we have the luxury of letting our hair air dry, but unfortunately in the winter we have to resort to our handy but damaging heated stylers! Hairdryers and straighteners make the hair more prone to breakage and drying out. Worry not, we’ve come up with 5 easy ways to maintain luscious locks all through the winter season.
Choosing the right shampoo and conditioner will help you prevent dry hair from the very start of your hair routine. If your hair is extra dry, then a conditioner that deeply moisturizes, like a leave-in-conditioner, will most likely be your best bet. A fantastic product is Bumble and Bumble Leave in Conditioner, as it de-tangles and softens the hair! Herbal Essences also provides some great alternatives. The Hydralicious Reconditioning Shampoo and Conditioner has extracts of Shea and Hawaiian sea silk so your hair feels and looks soft.
After washing your hair, it’s a good idea to use an anti-frizz and/or finishing oil to keep the moisture locked in (and to keep your hair feeling soft)! Agadir Argan Hair Oil is enriched with Vitamin E which is known to both aid hair growth and prevent hair loss. Simply apply it to the ends of your wet hair after washing and conditioning. Just make sure you only use a little bit: most hair oils are designed specifically for use at the ends of the hair (to prevent dryness), not for use on or near the roots.
If you use any heated styling tools on your hair, you must protect your hair before you begin such usage. CK recommends using Bedhead’s SOME LIKE IT HOT Heat and Humidity Resistant Serum. All you need is a small amount (a pea-sized dollop), so it should last you a long time. (Plus, it smells like candy !)
Use these tips to eliminate any and all havoc that the winter weather has brought to your locks. Your hair will be bouncing with moisture (and life!) before you know it!
