Master The Super Dark Lip

Kouturekiss - The Super Dark Lip

  1. Start with bare lips. Don’t use concealer or foundation on the lips! The creaminess will encourage your lipstick to bleed!
  2. For a vampy lip, lips should be ultra smooth. Take a pinch of sugar and mix with a few drops of water to create a paste.
  3. Smooth mixture over lips and gently scrub. Tissue off when done.
  4. Take a deep liner, pick one that’s as dark as your lipstick or slightly darker. Outline and feather in to create a secure base for your lipstick.
  5. Apply that vampy lipstick!
  6. Voilá! Instant drama! To pull off a lip like this, the key is to keep the rest of the face super simple. Your lips will be doing all the talking with this look!

Kouturekiss - How To Find Your Perfect Shade of Foundation_EDIT

  1. Guesstimate: grab 3 shades that seem to be in your general shade range and swatch on your jawline. If you can’t or don’t want to swatch it on your face DO NOT use your arm or hand as a substitute! You’ll end up with the wrong color! Use the middle of your chest instead. Ultimately, your chest and face should match!
  2. Determine: which shade most disappears into your skin? That’s the one you want!

Get Glamourous Old Hollywood Waves

Kouturekiss - How To Master Old Hollywood Waves

  1. Using your brush, give your hair a deep side part.
  2. Curl all of your hair in the same direction on each side towards your face. The smaller the barrel of your curler, the more wavy it’ll be in the end. Try your best to have all of your curls be super structured and symmetrical (ie look the same!).
  3. Once all your hair is all curled you should look something like this. Usually perfectly curled hair is not flattering, but for this technique, it’s necessary!
  4. After the curls have cooled completely, use your brush to gently comb out your curls. If your hair likes to hold onto curl, you may need to do this more than once.
  5. Set with your favorite hairspray and/or shine spray.

Et Voilá! Some lipstick and a LBD and you are red carpet ready!
