The Fancy Side Ponytail

It’s no surprise that the ponytail is one of the top favorite hair styles out there. It’s perfect for a lazy or bad hair day especially if your in a bind for time. Although the traditional style is quick and simple to do, even switching it up with a low or side ponytail, it’s easy to see why it can be a little on the boring side. Well the days of the average, everyday ponytail are over! With less than five steps and in under five minutes, you can be on your way to pulling off possibly the most unique version of the ponytail there is. Read below to get started on this fancy side ponytail!

Steps 1 + 2- Once hair is brushed, pull all of your hair over your shoulder (which shoulder you choose is up to you!).

Step 3 - Gather about a third of your hair and secure with a small elastic into a ponytail.

Steps 4 + 5 - Loosen the ponytail, separate about an inch in the middle, and flip the ponytail into the hole.

Steps 6 – 9 - Repeat step 2 and 3 on an equal sized section right below the first ponytail. This time, incorporate your first ponytail into the second which will create a larger ponytail to be flipped inside out.

Steps 10 + 11 - Gather the remaining hair and repeat the above steps. Again, incorporate your previous ponytail into this ponytail which should now be all of your hair. Separate a section and flip the final ponytail in.

Once you’re finished you can dress up this look by curling any loose strands or even adding a hair clip as a final touch!
