Begin with dry hair in its natural state. I don’t apply any product before putting in my rollers, but you could apply a curl-enhancing mousse if you like.
Before wrapping each section into a curler, run your curling iron through and do a quick curl just to heat up the section of hair. I also like to separate and pin each section that I am going to putting a curler in just so I don’t get confused when I am trying to curl and roll sections.
While the hair is still hot, start from the roots and brush your curler through the hair. Once it reaches the end, begin wrapping your hair around it. Then, hold in place with a bobby pin (or two) and continue this process with each section.
After rolling each section, I also like to spritz on a bit of hair spray just to make sure it keeps its hold. I use TRESemme Tres Two Spray.
For the six sections surrounding my face, I like to use smaller rollers so that the curls are really defined and frame my face well.
Once you have all of your rollers in place, give one last final spritz of hair spray and then let them set for about an hour (you can take them out sooner, but to play it safe I went with an hour).
After the hour is up you can begin taking the rollers out, beginning with the first one you put in and ending with the last. After they are all out, apply a shine serum to get rid of any frizz that the Velcro may have created. I used Garnier Fructis Brilliantine Shine Glistening Drops. Then, shake out the curls and do another quick spritz of hair spray.
I tried this today! I loved it! The only thing is that i have a bad habit of making my curls kinky at the end. Im gonna try to see if using a straigtener will work better. I hope it does!
