Day Look: The key to a great day look is to keep it simple. The Naked 2 Palette offers a great range of colors that can compliment an array of different skin tones. Pick a shade that is a bit lighter than your lid and apply all over the lid.
Step 1: Start with a fresh clean face and apply face makeup as usual. Then, apply primer to your lids.
Step 2: Apply your first shade all over lids using the large end of the brush.
Step 3: Using the narrow end of the brush, select a shade lighter than the first and apply to the inner corner of your eye, and under your bottom lash line. Gently blend this color toward the middle of your lid (using the larger end of the brush).
Step 4: Finish with eye liner and mascara.
Now that your day look is complete you are ready to take on the day! Once evening strikes, follow the steps below to take your bright day look to a smokey, night eye.
Night Look: The key to a great night eye is to give your eyes a deep, complex look. It’s the layering and blending of dark smokey colors that will give the optimal results.
Step 1: Take the narrow end of the brush and dab it into one of the dark shades on the palette. Press the brush to the lid and gently swipe in a left to right motion across your lid’s crease. This will give your eye depth.
Step 2: Using the larger side of the brush, dip into the same dark shade and blend onto the outer corner of your lid. The motion should be blending in toward the middle of your lid.
Step 4: Repeat this motion until you achieve the darkness of your choice.
Step 3: For added drama, reapply eye liner to your bottom rim, and when reapplying to the top, add a little cat eye to the end of each corner.
Step 5: Reapply mascara if necessary.
Voila! You’ve just taken your bright day eye makeup to a daring night eye in under five steps! This slight adjustment will be a life savor when running late or making back to back plans! The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette is full of great options to slightly adjust the dramatic effect of your day and night look. The key is to know your skin tone and choose which shades work best for you!
