There are tons of ways to wear headbands! Whether you use them traditionally to push hair back from your face or add them as an accessory, the possibilities are endless! During summer, your downtime schedule probably calls for a look that is pretty casual and laid back. This tutorial will show you an adorable way to spruce up your hair without the fuss. The end result will be carefree, a little messy and totally perfect for summer! Follow the steps below to be on your way to perfect summer music festival inspired hair!
Step 1 – Place your headband on your head. Let the back of the headband sit on top of your hair rather than underneath. (I teased the crown of my hair to add volume!)
Step 2 – Take a chunk of hair from either side of your head, and tuck/loop it under the headband. The hair should wrap around the elastic part of the headband and cover it.
Step 3 – Continue taking sections of hair and looping it around the elastic back of the headband. You can adjust and spread the hair accordingly as you go to make sure the headband is completely hidden.
Steps 4 & 5 – Once you get to the back center of your head, start on the other side and repeat steps 2 & 3.
Step 6 – Comb out any knots, and…
Voila! The great thing about this style is that it works well with curly, wavy or straight hair keeping it low maintenance with minimal prep time! So grab a headband, and get started on your way to a perfect summertime style!
