Learn to Apply Faux Lashes like a Pro

False lashes seem to make the world of difference in an eye look, but the application process tends to get messy and complicated. Use these steps to make the task a breeze!

  1. Gather your supplies. You’ll need a curler, faux lashes, lash glue, and mascara.
  2. Start off by measuring the false lash against your natural lash. You don’t want the false lash to be any longer lengthwise, so clip the ends if necessary.
  3. Apply a thin layer of lash glue (I love DUO Lash Adhesive in black – it dries black instead of white, making it much easier to conceal with makeup). Focus the glue on the ends of the false lash, as this is where the lashes tend to loosen the easiest.
  4. Hold the lash in a semi-circular shape using two fingers while waiting for the glue to dry. Give it approximately 20-25 seconds, until the glue takes a tacky form.
  5. Using tweezers, close your eyes and apply the false lash to the base of your natural lashes. Hold it in place and keep your eye shut for an additional 20 seconds or so. This will give time for your false lash to form and set — avoiding and messiness.
  6. Afterwards, use the backend of your tweezers and gently press the false lash into place — again focusing on the ends of the lash, which tend to loosen the quickest.
  7. When everything is dried and set, curl your natural and false lashes together, to give them a more blended appearance.
  8. Apply a thin coat on your false and natural lashes, again with a purpose of blending the two together.

… and you’re all done! Be sure to bring lash glue with you in your bag when you go out, just in case your lashes get loose edges. Otherwise, you are set for the rest of the night!
